UCLA (19-5, 12-11 ATS) long known for making key plays at crunch time, failed to do so at Arizona State and were swept this season by the Sun Devils and now have the same number of conference loss as Washington (3). Where the Bruins failed was defensively, as ASU made 60 perfect of shots and 11 three-pointers. UCLA was also outrebounded by six. The Bruins are 39-19 ATS off a spread loss.
Arizona (17-8, 13-11-1 ATS) had a back and forth win over USC and is trying to break eight game losing streak to UCLA. Forward Chase Budinger has been attacking the rim more and the results have been exceptional, averaging 22.2 points per game in last five. The exact status of center Jordan Hill is something to watch, after suffering ankle injury. The Wildcats have won six straight (5-1 ATS) and are 12-2 and 8-5-1 ATS at McKale Center.
UCLA is 6-2 ATS in last eight meetings.
